Campy, frothy, and proudly absurd, this represents a return to the kind of light comedy Pedro Almodóvar cut his teeth on. The silly plot revolves around a technical glitch on board Peninsula Flight 2549 to Mexico City. While the pilots strive to find a solution to the life-threatening situation, the flight attendants and passengers are baroque characters who try to make the flight as enjoyable as possible. The all-star cast includes Javier Camara ("Talk to Her") Cecilia Roth ("All About My Mother") as well as Antonio Banderas and Penelope Cruz. With subtitles.
